During 3daysofdesign, The Conary became home to “Gestures of Home”, a curated design exhibition presented by Openhouse Studio. Styled by artistic director Henriette Schou, the installation reimagined the domestic space as a poetic gallery, where design was not just seen, but felt and lived. Through carefully curated scenes, the exhibition invited visitors to reflect on the emotional and aesthetic rhythms of home life, where craftsmanship, materiality, and light converged.

In 2025, Expormim inaugurates its permanent showroom at the iconic Design Post Köln, the leading destination for contemporary design in Germany, located at Deutz-Mülheimer-Str. 22a.

One more year. One more edition. The same anticipation. But a new concept. New materials, new collections, new sensations.

In Expormim, we like to surround ourselves with design professionals who inspire and encourage us in our tireless pursue of beauty. Professionals who share our craftsmanship values and love for noble materials. This is reason why we turned to the Italian master Roberto Lazzeroni and asked him to help us with his wisdom and know-how to create a new outdoor collection in wood.

Pepe rattan loveseat sofa by Benedetta Tagliabue – EMBT is a two-seater rattan sofa, but saying this would be far from exact for intertwined with its fibres there is a hidden story of tradition, craftsmanship and art. We grew very fond of Pepe, and yet we didn’t launch any more small rattan sofas until we started the Cask rattan seating collection with Norm Architects. And soon after, spurred on by its success, we were developing another fine piece of wicker furniture called Cadenza with David López Quincoces.

We recycle, but we do more than that: we also use recycled materials in the making of our products. There are so many materials that can be recycled beyond paper, glass or plastic. For example, fabrics or aluminium. It is just a matter of digging a little bit and finding the right purveyor, one sharing our same commitment with the environment and the three R: reduce, recycle and reuse.

It’s never easy to say goodbye to the summer. But there’s always something good in return: our new indoor catalogue is coming out, fresh from the oven and pleasantly warm. Every new indoor catalogue marks a new milestone in our business path.

The moment one summer ends, the next summer starts and that means we must focus on our new outdoor catalogue. It’s a cycle, a wheel spinning non-stop throughout the year. Because our catalogues are slow cooked with loving care and even the tiniest variation or adjustment goes under the microscope. Because we want our outdoor catalogue to be not only a source of inspiration, but a reliable tool for the challenges posed by outdoor design.

Autumn is here, the beginning of a new season. Life withdraws from gardens, pools and terraces to warmer indoor spaces. Yet the pleasure of coming together stays the same. Gathering around a fire to share stories, maybe some food, maybe a beverage, is something as old as time. Now contemporary dining tables replace fire and take centre stage.

Installing summer in 3, 2, 1. Installation successfully completed. Now it’s time to find a nice place to lay back, forget about all the stressful things that stalk us in our daily lives and enjoy the endless sunny days doing nothing in a casual but studied horizontal position, alone or with the person of your choice. To help you achieve this goal, we offer you a couple of solutions: Cask double round daybed and Obi double daybed. Both double chaise longues are suitable for outdoor use, of course, and both are double so you can share it or expand yourself as much as you want to.

Form Events

Think of a small domestic space like an inner courtyard. Or a multipurpose space. Or the terrace of a restaurant downtown. What do they all have in common? The need for stackable furniture that can be easily stored and quickly put away in the case of a sudden change in the weather. Stackable outdoor chairs have multiple advantages: they are lightweight meaning you don’t have to spend more hours at the gym to be able to move them, they save space because they fit in any corner and they can be stored away when not needed thus protecting them from the constant exposure to the elements.

During 3daysofdesign, the Ruby Atelier Gallery hosted “The Intimate Side of Art”, a creative design exhibition between Openhouse and Expormim that reflected on the noteworthiness of having a space to develop our identity as creators, what Virginia Woolf called ‘A Room of One’s Own’.

When we design a product and make it happen, we feel like Geppetto giving life to Pinocchio. Because at Expormim we create objects with soul, objects we expect will last for more than a lifetime. A heritage. Our furniture is not enslaved to fashion and is made to endure. Anyway, we understand time and use can damage it or owners may grow tired of its looks.

Our stand, entrusted again to interior designer Sylvain Carlet, is an example of how recycling and reusing can put us in the path towards sustainability and a more ecologically conscious way of living. Inspired by the Mediterranean patios and the white washed houses of the beautiful Andalusian towns, it celebrates a centuries-old culture, dating back to the Roman era, a culture of enjoyment, well-being and light, abundant light.

Swing chairs are one of the most adaptable pieces in the world of furniture, a true chameleon: they work just fine indoors and outdoors, in small and large spaces, at home and in public spaces. You name it. You have our word, it’ll fit wonderfully.

Horizontal living. In other words, laying down as much as possible. Summer is here and our system longs for a full reboot. We are ready for low energy consumption activities involving comfortable devices such as loungers, daybeds, hammocks, etc. No big efforts intended apart from book holding or glass lifting. Catnapping is allowed anywhere, anytime. No wonder outdoor loungers like Käbu chaise longue become the real deal.

Summer makes us thirsty in so many ways and the solution is always aquatic. Seas, rivers and lakes are great, but after an adventure day outdoors, could you resist the call of a fancy pool equipped with luxury furniture and frozen cocktails at hand? One last intimate dip at sunset and then relax in the most comfortable seating option available: a fabulous “pool” sofa.

Contract environments are a home away from home for rattan chairs. Because the warmth and apparent softness of the material, rattan chairs are usually confined to the limits of the home. But don’t let its delicate beauty fool you: rattan has a thick skin. It is robust, hard-wearing and highly reliable even under the stressful conditions of public spaces such as offices or restaurants.

The wheel of fashion turns today faster than ever. Hypes and trends come and go. Sometimes it is difficult to catch up and it can be even more difficult to escape from the frenziness. And yet, some designs never fall out of fashion. That’s exactly how Loop rattan chair, our newest seating collection for the indoor, was devised by Danish studio Norm Architects.

Our stand picked up the thread of our speech from where we left it last year. Signed again by Sylvain Carlet, there are some intrinsic values and references to it that have remained intact: our commitment to sustainability, our love for the Mediterranean in its widest and deepest sense, and our passion for greenery.

To find the meaning of Obi outdoor sofa, we need to move to the Land of the Rising Sun. This seating collection, designed by the veteran Milanese duo Ludovica+Roberto Palomba, pays tribute to Japanese culture through a very specific, but iconic element.

Last fall we launched our first showroom in London, in partnership with Mosa. Located in the heart of Clerkenwell, it has become already a meeting point for inspiration, craftsmanship and design culture.

We have been awarded the Premio Nacional de Diseño because of our design, a design deeply rooted in our territory, our culture and our history, a design that speaks of who we are, where we come from and where we are headed to.

Spring always brings a sense of expectation, a craving for outdoor spaces, a dream of summer. Days are longer, brighter, happier. People meet outside: come to my rooftop, see you at the terrace round the corner, find me at that little bar by the promenade. We shake the last remains of winter and fill with summer vibes. Burn the old, bring on the new.

These 10 years have allowed us to consolidate our brand in North America thanks to the modernity of our past, the unwavering trust in our craftsmen in the present and our forward-looking approach.

The way in which the interior space is thought about and organized is in constant evolution. That also goes for the way in which it is narrated. For this reason, we changed our location this year. We moved to Hall 22, along with an exclusive selection of brands in S. Project.
